CCI: Using cine film as a letter

Video

In 1968, Baruchello began proposing the idea of the 'circular letter' to his friends in the Cooperativa del Cinema Indipendente. A participant would send a friend a seven-metre roll of cine film. The sender would shoot the first seven metres and then on the opposite side the other seven. Once he had finished shooting, he would send the film to another sender. The receiver could then watch the film and contribute to it. It was a way of communication, an artistic exchange between CCI members.
