The 1966 flood and the arrival of young people from all over Europe

Video
Andrea Granchi describes the tragedy caused by the flood that hit Florence on November 4, 1966. The artist recalls the arrival of "Angeli del Fango" - young people called "Mud Angels" - coming to Florence from all over Europe in aid of citizenship. This climate of collaboration and energy created a sort of anticipation to the social movements and protests of 1968.
