In 1980 the so-called "Estate 80" project set in "Piazza della Palla" was born. For this occasion Andrea Granchi made a large intermediate installation with 2 or 3 film projectors called "The Turk and the Italian." A part of the event was dedicated to the so-called "School of Florence": a group of artists, engaged in the field of film production, who presented their own films.
