Volti tristi / Volti allegri (Super8, col, 1979/1980) is a film by Andrea Granchi in which, following the technical idea of "circular films", the author shoots a series of people intent on expressing sadness or joy. The work shows a part of two integrative and specular films intended for the installation "L'Allegro e il Pensieroso" (The Merry and the Thoughtful) realised in Milan for the exhibition "Camere incantate" (Enchanted Rooms) curated by Vittorio Fagone at Palazzo Reale.
