The reason for the success of the 8mm format

Video
8mm film was a popular and inexpensive film gauge introduced in the early 1930s by Kodak, with the aim of offering a cheaper amateur format than 16mm. In addition to the economic advantages, the 8mm format guaranteed the possibility of shooting more film by doubling the amount of shooting time compared to 16mm.
