Amateur film can be considered as a form of inscription of the self by taking over a series of codes and aesthetics from other media such as photography (already home to forms of portraiture and self-portraiture) and the entire pictorial-artistic tradition. But through amateur film we begin to perceive a new way of considering forms of subjectivation of the image. And this happens when, while standing behind the camera, the filmmaker is able to react to what he is filming by always projecting himself and leaving traces of himself within the film.
