The Pathé Baby and the advent of the narrow gauge cinematography in Italy were a great revolution from technological, cultural and social points of view. The possibility of filming at home was a first moment to overturn the film experience, no longer tying it to the figure of the spectator, but to the figure of a producer who could freely create film images not necessarily inspired by the conventional representations produced and realised by the film industry of the time. Filmic devices thus become integrated into people's lives and experiences according to different purposes, such as educational, social practice, memory or even as a form of entertainment and personal enjoyment.
