The General Directorate of Cinematography, the Fascist organisation controlling cinema.

Video
The period between 1932 and 1934 was important for the whole industry of film culture in Italy because the Fascist regime began to recognise the importance of the film sector. The Regime gradually became more and more interested in the organisation of the Venice Film Festival and in 1934 the General Direction of Cinematography was founded: a department governed by the National Fascist Party that supervised all activities concerning the film industry.
