In 1949, the Federazione Italiana dei Circoli dei Cineclub (Italian Federation of Film Clubs) was founded by a small group of Cine-clubs with president Tito Marconi and, among others, founder Vittorio Gallo and other personalities of the time. The aim of the FEDIC was to create a network between all Italian Cine-clubs. The number of Cine-clubs began to grow and in particular from '52-'53 there was a multiplication of Cine-clubs, also due to the Catholic Church's openness to the creation of Cine-clubs until around '59, a decade after the creation of the FEDIC, there were 90 Cine-clubs throughout Italy.
