Jennifer Malvezzi presents the film 'Euridice' (Valentina Berardinone, 1979), also illustrating the meaning assumed by the title. Within the film, it is as if the artist wanted to tell us that Eurydice's existence is no longer determined by the presence of an external gaze (of the director or the spectator), but she herself becomes the active and passive centre of the vision; in short, it is she who stages and tells her story. In this sense, through self-reproduction, the mechanical eye of the mdp allows her to narrate first of all to herself, to guide herself on a solitary path of discovery and recognition.
