"Tullio, having made his first communion, tries out his father's gift, a beautiful bicycle", so says the sign at the film's opening. On the Roncoscaglia road, in the Emilian Apennines near Sestola, the child tries out the two-wheeler he received from his father Renato Ceccarelli, the author of this 9.5 mm film. A beautiful gift and now Tullio is put to the test under the eyes of his mother and grandmother. One cannot stand still any longer, one has to learn to pedal hard with such a bike, even if the first attempts are timid. It was 22 September 1929, a memorable Sunday for Tullio, but also for the Futurists, lovers of speed and bicycles, who, however, abandoned the first definition of aeropainting, with the article 'Perspectives of Flight and Aeropainting', published by Marinetti in the Gazzetta del Popolo of Turin. Always ahead these futurists, the word itself says it all.
