According to the Encylopaedia Britannica, 'despite the cat’s graceful build and relatively small size, the Siamese is muscular and agile. Characterized as affectionate and loyal, though sometimes destructive, it is regarded by some of its admirers as the most intelligent of domestic cats. It is highly vocal and possesses a range of cries, including a penetrating mating call.” It is plausible that Giuseppe Lenzi considers Siam to be the most intelligent of the Siamese cats, since for the owner his cat is always the best and most beutiful. Another point of note is that cat owners cannot resist the temptation to produce and disseminate images of this animal that deserves adoration from humans. So Lenzi came up with the idea on 25 September 1955 to produce a souvenir of his beloved cat on film, in which he could certainly find some of the features mentioned in the famous encyclopaedia. However, as far as the mating call is concerned, we do not know whether Siam is neutered or not. Besides, the film is without sound.
