It is time for the Bavarian Oktober Fest, but the Montefiore Conca Chestnut Festival, otherwise known as the Montefiorese Oktober Fest, as written on the sign welcoming visitors, does not seem to be any different. Among them is the Zamagna family, who on 12 October 1969 decided to spend Sunday in the Romagna hills. Romano's diktat to his wife and three children is clear: let's go, but on condition that he can film everything, from start to finish. Romano is focused on the complete chronicle of the day, which he will then edit, soundtrack, and even put in the titles. He tells the family; you will have the pleasure of seeing another Sunday projected in the house in Rimini that we will not go out. This is the life of a filmmaker's family, the precise kind that leaves nothing to chance. Here is the result, with the eloquent expression in the 'faces' of the actors in the departure sequence. But then the day (and the film) flows well, the laughs come, the chestnuts are nice and the food is good. People are cheerful and Zamagna really films everything, including the camera of another filmmaker perhaps out of envy.
