Through reading the index of the exhibition catalog "Lo specchio fluido" edited by Andrea Granchi (1976), the author expresses the need to distinguish different artistic and cinematic expressions. In fact, artist cinema has for him a precise identity that has nothing to do with underground or family cinema and therefore it makes no sense for him to place artistic cinema under the big hat of experimental cinema.
