Festival di Rapallo

Video
Founded in 1954, the Rapallo Festival represented one of the most important events dedicated to narrow gauge cinema of the italian 20th century. Organised by the Associazione Fotografica Ligure, whose members were the Chierici brothers, from 1956 onwards it bore the name 'Concorso Internazionale di Cinematografia a Passo Ridotto' (International Competition of Narrow-Gauge cinematography). The festival was organised at Christmas time and, in the Chierici family, as well as within the association, everyone had their own organisational task. This film, shot during the 1957 edition, portrays the organisers and participants moving around the city and inside the festival venue waiting for the event to begin.
