Within the "Dimensione Super8" exhibition at Fimstudio in Rome in 1975, Luca Ferro came up with the idea of his first film "Impressioni a distanza". Influenced by the cinema of Tonino De Bernardi, he started from the idea of multiple projection to approach three different reels belonging to his family and shot one at a distance of twenty years from the other: the first of 1935, the second of 1950 and the third of 1975.
