Very often we can consider a close relationship between the ways of constructing and preserving films and the making of family albums. What these two elements have in common is the need to construct forms of representation capable of projecting a recognisable image of oneself within the family, an often idealised idea of family cohesion with a network of solid affective relationships that propagate over time. A history therefore that is dealt with through the images of the family as an institution that crosses historical epochs, capable of transcending time in order to be able to enter into a relationship with all the others that have been part of a family nucleus that is always relational and that enters into connection with other times, other spaces and other generations.
