The Cineguf were the most important outcome of a complex project to regulate independent activities and associations concerning film culture in Fascist-ruled Italy. Between 1926 and 1930 there were only three or four important groups in Italy. We are therefore talking about only a few groups and this situation will remain more or less unchanged until 1934.
