In the transition to video, we always have to bear in mind that we are in a very specific epoch, which is the affirmation of postmodernism. As is repeatedly said, the so-called highbrow culture and the lowbrow culture somehow converge and innervate new cultural practices. Videophilia is nothing more than a kind of extension of a practice that had now become highbrow. That is, the frequentation of the cinema, in other words of the cineclub or art-house cinema.
