The history of the Cooperativa di cinema indipendente moves across the boot, from its foundation in Naples in 1965 to its formalisation at a legal level in Rome in 1967. Jennifer Malvezzi narrates here of the break-up of the group and the clear separation that was created between those who then continued to experiment and those who instead sanctioned the end of experimentalism by expressing the need to open up to video, inserting themselves within the discourse defined as "the war of formats".
