Jennifer Malvezzi continues her narrative by illustrating the phase following the break-up of the CCI, in which Italian artists were decidedly more prominent both as organisers and promoters of experimental cinema in Italy. It all starts with the first experimental film festival in 1972, organised in Piacenza, a city absolutely out of any possible route for experimental cinema as understood by the experimental production of the cooperative. The Piacenza festival marked a clear change of course in the conception of Italian experimental cinema.
